Puffing Billy Preservation Society 70th Anniversary Page

On the 8th June 1955, the Puffing Billy Preservation Society's formation meeting was held at the Independent Church Hall in Collins Street, Melbourne. At that meeting, the initial committee was appointed and the constitution and rules were accepted. An extract of the first meeting minutes can be found at this link: coming soon! There was also a short amateur movie film shown, produced by Mr Ern Tindall. This movie depicted Puffing Billy operations before closure and included shots from the 'Farewell Puffing Billy' trips.  PBPS 70th Anniversary Afternoon Tea Was held on 8 Jun 2025 at the Belgrave Community Hub, Belgrave. This was an open invitation to all members and supporters to come an celebrate the great achievements of the Society over the last 70 years.
